Possibly the first ever full run of this game? Since it's any%, the run is played under fastest possible conditions (Easy) and only to the first possible ending. The gameplay is still rough around the edges, but I don't think this is a bad time to start with.

I presume a faster time will be coming soon... especially since I just found some new glitch tactics in the game!

In this category you only have to complete 17 missions, and 10 of those missions have skips thanks to infinite jump tactics. I start timing from pressing "New Game" on a fresh save and end timing when closing last message after beating Into the Fire. Feel free to ask questions regarding the route?

- Your horse has Speed value of around 200. Your usual character on foot has a (max) 150 Speed in the early game, making horse clearly the fastest movement option. This changes later on after you get Zhang He, however.

- I usually spend any extra waiting time by defeating enemies. This awards you experience and growth points. But the fact is, level isn't particularly important in this category. Most of your damage comes from your weapon anyway. The characters I use for infinite jumping need to have a certain level to have a bigger Musou-gauge so that they can do bigger jumps, but that's pretty much it.

- Another thing I do during waiting time is smash item boxes. It's random which items you get, and only a few are useful in a speedrun. More speed, more musou gauge, more attack are the things to look out for.

- There is some RNG in the run concerning the weapons. You can buy lv. 2 weapons during Chapter 1 and lv. 3 weapons during Chapter 2 but only occasionally. It's arbitrary whether high level weapons show up in the shop. If not, you just have to make do with what you got.

- Normal fighting is slow so I try to cheese past all fights with Musou attacks. To help me with this I use a level up trick: I use growth points to level up my attacking character barely to next level. Then during the mission I can use two Musou instead of one since a level up refills the Musou gauge.

- From some damage tests that I did, Taishi Ci has the most powerful Musou out of all early game characters. In Chapter 2 you get Zuo Ci who has a really broken Musou - he consistently deals 2x or 2.5x more damage than other characters in same conditions. Hence, he is a keeper in speedruns.
