About infinite jump:
This is a jump tactic that can be done pretty early on in the game, using characters from Chapter 1 - namely Xu Shu and Yukimura Sanada. I'll probably make a more detailed video about infinite jump once I unlock more characters and experiment more.
Basically, do a double jump with either of these characters followed by the air special attack at top height. Follow up with another jump, switch to other character and then do another special attack followed by another jump, etc.
Normally you can only do 2 jumps in air, but using air special replenishes the double jump for some reason. Also, normally you can only do one special in air, but switching to another character resets that. Hence, you can keep doing specials and double jumps over and over again, and with some characters this maneuver allows you to gain height.

About the level:
You're under a time limit during this level since if you're too slow the A.I. character you're supposed to protect dies by herself. That's one pretty annoying thing about this game... having to babysit A.I. characters in many levels.
Fortunately the game is pretty lenient about the triggers in this level and allows you to defeat the "final boss" early if you just make your way up to him. That is enough to end the level, allowing you to skip all other fights and objectives.
The fastest way I've found how to do this is to jump over the large gates that are blocking the most direct route with the infinite jump. The exterior walls of any level are obscenely high, but fortunately the various gates and doors are usually less so, allowing skips like this to happen.
This exact same route works in the Redux version of this level as well, so it's basically two skips for the price of one.
0:18 - this first jump is slightly sloppy. I don't get optimal timing with some repeats of the infinite jump and also get pushed down by level geometry at one point.
1:00 - I figure it's easier to just glide over this whole area Wuxia-style since otherwise you'd just have to get back the needed height at the two next gates you have to jump over.
1:07 - now sure what might happen if you rescued Musashi Miyamoto on your first visit through the level?
1:40 - now a bit of running to reach the last gate. I should really look into fast movement tech in this game... Also, I guess you could optionally defeat the enemies instead of doing an infinite jump over the last gate.
2:21 - then just defeat final boss with however you choose. I think Yoshitsune's charge attack is pretty broken with the damage and how it stuns groups of enemies.
