So, what is Pokémon Crystal?
"Pokémon Crystal is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color in 2000 in Japan and 2001 in the United States. It is part of the second generation of Pokémon games, and is an enhanced version of Pokémon Gold and Silver.
The story follows a young Trainer, starting their Pokémon journey in the region of Johto. They set out across the country, catching Pokémon, battling other Trainers, and eventually facing the Gym Leaders that make up the Pokémon League."
Okay, so what is a Randomlocke?
A Randomlocke is a variation of the Nuzlocke Challenge. The Nuzlocke Challenge is a fan-created set of rules to up the difficulty of playing the games. All of the main games can be played as a Nuzlocke, and there are only two main rules:
1) You may only catch the first Pokémon you find in a specific area. If it faints or runs away, you are not allowed to catch anything else.
2) If one of your Pokémon's health reaches zero, they are considered 'dead' and can no longer be used for the remainder of the game.
For the purposes of this run, I've added a couple of optional rules:
3) I must nickname every Pokémon I catch.
4) If all the Pokémon I have in my party faint, the game is over.
However, all Pokémon locations, including starters, have been completely randomized. All items, TMs, and Move Tutors have also been randomized. Trainers have not been randomized.
