This is the final Mystery Game for a while. I’ve decided to go back and play The Solus Project in place of this series. I’ll then either resume playing mystery games or resume another one which I’ve played.
Every Sunday I’m streaming a Mystery Game after the Gothic/Bioshock session which precedes it. The aim is to work through some of the hidden gems within my collection that I’ve either picked up or been kindly gifted and gain a good impression of what it’s about.
This will help me to decide whether to continue it in the future, be it via a stream, LP, or just privately for myself.
This week I look at Outcast, a genre mixing adventure game which was ground breaking in many ways, and was only held back by the technology of the time.
While it is clunky and frustrating at times, you can really see the effort that went into it and how this ambitious project shouldn’t be overlooked.
