Advances in Quantum Coding Theory

Recently, there have been many experimental reports on efficacy of quantum error correction to realize logical qubits and logical operations. However, it appears that not all people use the same meaning for their logical qubits and operations, and hence it is important to understand differences to better appreciate the reports. Here, I am going to review these differences, and discuss what is important.
