3This video demonstrates how to use the bar chart and API log while analyzing a single frame in Graphics Frame Analyzer to manipulate data and discover performance bottlenecks within your application.
This video demonstrates the core features the Bar Chart panel and the API log panel in single-frame view of Graphics Frame Analyzer. In the main bar chart, you can visualize the performance of your frame based on the selected quantitative metrics. The bar chart can be transformed by selecting from the visualization settings drop-down menu. You can group events in this panel by selecting from the “Group by” drop-down menu, enable a markup on top of the bar chart by selecting from the “Chart Region” drop-down menu, color bars on the main bar chart by selecting from the “Color by” drop-down menu and more. Using the hotspot mode feature you can view grouped calls, with the longest group on the left side of the bar chart, and view short descriptions of discovered bottlenecks and potential solutions in the 3D pipeline tab of the metrics pane. In the API log panel, you can view all graphics API functions and filter them by typing them into the filter expression field. You can also view the three other tabs in this panel including the Pixel History tab, Resource History tab, and Frame Statistics tab.
