FILMMAKER BIO:

David Malcolm, somewhere near Glasgow, Scotland

- How long have you been making movies?
In my mind: forever. In reality, a couple of years

- Favorite horror film?
Martyrs

- Inspiration for the short?
Every teen horror from the 90s and 00s, the mannequins in I Know What You Did Last Summer (no one has spotted that yet), remakes and reboots, the recycling of the same stories and tropes, Evil Dead and Cabin Fever.

- Who is a filmmaker you admire?
We could be here forever. Kevin Williamson, Shinya Tsukamoto, Stanley Kubrick, Anthony Hickox, John Carpenter, Gaspar Noe, Beck and Woods, Michel Haneke, Johannes Roberts

- If you could remake any horror movie, which would it be?
Chopping Mall. Jim Wynorski, call me. I'd love to do the Waxwork III that got lost in time (see what I did there?)

- Do you have anything new you'd like to promote or do you have anything in development currently?
Been trying to get a Halloween anthology off the ground where Mannequins would be adapted as one of the stories.

- What is it about WOD that appealed to you when you joined its community?
being related to the biggest horror brand (Bloody Disgusting) on the 'net

My name is Tony Reames, but the brains and talent behind Playtime's Over were Haley Leary, Evan Reames and Todd Jacobs. We all live in Atlanta, GA

- How long have you been making movies?
I started making movies with my dad when I was in 3rd grade on his old 8mm camera.

- Favorite horror film?
My favorite horror film of ALL time is Army of Darkness

- Inspiration for the short?
I wanted to work on something with Haley Leary and Todd Jacobs and of course my daughter Evan. Haley came up with the concept, and Evan agreed immediately because she does not like babysitters.

- Who is a filmmaker you admire?
I think the filmmaker I admire the most is Gregg Bishop, not only is he a fantastic director but he also made the flawless "Dance of the Dead".

- Do you have anything new you'd like to promote or do you have anything in development currently?
I just wrapped a short with Haley called "Lethalogica" that is the exact opposite of Playtime's Over in every way. It is a fun project that is a cold open to a feature film we are working on.

- What is it about WOD that appealed to you when you joined its community?
I am a big fan of Tony and everybody at BloodyDisgusting, and to be honest the whole community are a bunch of the coolest horror loving people around.

Ethan Walden and Connor McIntyre, Los Angeles

- How long have you been making movies?
This is actually my first film. I’ve written and consumed horror for years and finally decided to put my ideas on screen.

- Favorite horror film?
The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby

- Location where short was filmed?
Alhambra, CA

- Inspiration for the short?
I was dealing with a pretty serious itch that wasn’t going away for almost a year. No one could figure out what it was and I started to feel like it was just in my head. Using this as a core idea, I wanted to tell a story about a woman who felt unheard, in a world where no one will take her seriously.

- If you could remake any horror movie, which would it be?
I am mostly interested in bringing new and unique horrors to life, but I did just watch Eyes Without A Face for the first time and it gave me some pretty interesting ideas.

- Do you have anything new you'd like to promote or do you have anything in development currently?
The director, Connor McIntyre, and I are currently working on another short that we hope to release late this year. We are continuously writing and brainstorming new ideas, so other things are bound to pop up.

- What is it about WOD that appealed to you when you joined its community?
I have been a huge fan of Bloody Disgusting for years and have loved seeing it evolve, especially now with WOD and it’s support of short film. Being apart of it, as a horror fan, is huge for me.
