This time around, I focus on villain Emperor Palpatine. Neither a Lightsaber nor Blaster character, he's the one I have most difficulty with. Vid timeline:

I play as:

First player: Emperor Palpatine.
Blaster: N/A. Force Lightning attacks.
Abilities: Chain Lightning, Dark Aura, Electrocute.
Boost Cards: Lightning Reach, Show No Mercy, The Rule of Two.
Passive Ability: Health on Elimination.

The first thing that needs to be said here, is that I failed to use Emperor Palpatine to his full potential. Concentrating I was during the intense fight in getting all the other things right, that I forgot to use one of his powers: Chain Lightning.

Obviously, that would mean Palpatine is stronger than what he seems here. I would need to play with him again so that next time I use all three of his abilities in concert.

Anyways, I choose to reinforce his main Force Lightning attacks with Lightning Reach and The Rule of Two. The latter requires Palpatine to use both of his hands. That would enable the bonus damage to take effect against targets that have been stunned by Electrocute prior. Somewhat tricky to pull of as Electrocute has a short range.

Dark Aura would be the most straight forward ability here. Somewhat reminiscent of BB-9E's Shock Pulse, I understand it can bypass walls. A large area or effect, but low damage attack.

I feel Emperor Palpatine has the highest learning curve of all Hero/Villain characters. I attribute to that him not being a Lightsaber nor Blaster character (like the BB droids), requiring a unique play style that I have yet to fully get hand off. Although with the Boost Cards, I'm aiming to increase the range rather than damage of his attacks to play as some type of a mid range support character.
