The disabled Advent convoy has been secured by Menace 1-5, providing XCOM with fresh supplies to continue the fight against Advent and their alien masters. The operation also served as the first field test of the new magnetic weapons developed by Dr. Tygen and Chief Engineer Shen. In their first outing, the new armaments proved to be every bit as effective as their Advent counterparts - tearing through Advent and alien armor alike with magnetically-propelled alloy slugs. The new EXO armor was also deployed on Paula "Boss Lady" Brown to excellent effect.

As XCOM continues to build strength to take on the Advent Black Site, an encoded message is received via the Spokesman. The Resistance has caught wind of a high profile alien sympathizer who may be able to provide valuable intel on Advent if captured alive. Barring that, killing the target would still be a blow to Advent.
