XP Reward System is BAD! - Piggybacking "Issue" - Apex Legends Game Discussions

So last week Respawn released a blog post talking about what we can expect to be fixed in the next Apex Legends patch. Things such as slowmo servers, audio issues and hit reg were spoken about. Another thing they brought up was the piggybacking issue in Apex Legends. That is players using their teammates to get further into the game all while doing nothing but still get awarded a lot of XP. They mentioned they would start banning these players temporarily and even going as far as perma banning them. This made me think, why are players doing this XP farming method instead of just playing normally. So I dug a little bit and wanted to touch on this subject.
