On June 19, 2020, Naughty Dog and Sony released their sequel to the acclaimed The Last of Us. Critically, the game has been extremely highly praised, with things like the rendering of the world and its gameplay being cited as examples of excellence in gaming. Many players, however, have other opinions about it. Will the game live up to the hype?
Controls are mostly as they were in the first game. Movement is with the left thumbstick, panning perspective is with the right thumbstick. L1 aims an equipped weapon; R1 fires while aiming, but reloads when *not* aiming. L2 makes a character sprint, and R2 makes them listen carefully (and crouch automatically). ◯ is used for crouch again (holding it will make the character go prone); ✕ will climb still; △ interacts / searches; ⬜ executes a melee attack or is used as a QTE response (such as breaking loose when grabbed); L1 to aim; R1 to shoot / throw (or to reload when not aiming); L2 to sprint; and R2 to listen.
