Previously, Link began the DLC Pack 2 main quest "EX Champion Mipha's Song" in the Lanayru region. He found and completed the three DLC shrines for the quest: the Kee Dafunia Shrine, the Sato Koda Shrine, and the Mah Eliya Shrine. To wrap up the quest, he must go back to the Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Link resumes on Divine Beast Vah Ruta's plateau in the Lanayru region.

Before approaching the Divine Beast, Link teleports to the Ne'ez Yohma Shrine in Zora's Domain (time 0:32).

In the throne room, he talks to Prince Sidon (time 1:35). If Link asks about the trial, Sidon will provide some information. It might have been helpful if Link had come to Sidon before finding the shrines. Oh, well. Link can also ask about Mipha.

Link also talks to King Dorephan (time 4:14). When he asks about Mipha, Dorephan tells him about Mipha's Diary on the nearby table.

Link reads Mipha's Diary (time 5:33). She writes about Link and Vah Ruta. Interesting read!

Afterwards, Link teleports back to the Divine Beast Vah Ruta (time 9:39). Approaching Vah Ruta will start a rematch against Waterblight Ganon. However, Link will undertake the battle with a diminished inventory. So, he prepares by eating attack boost food, a Mighty Simmered Fruit made with an Apple and 4 Mighty Bananas. His food buff will carry over into the battle.

Link approaches the Divine Beast Vah Ruta for a scene (time 10:47). A shrine monk issues a trial. After taking the three Ruta's Emblems, the monk transports Link to an Illusory Realm.

A scene takes place in the Illusory Realm (time 11:51). After the shrine monk explains things, Waterblight Ganon appears.

The battle against Waterblight Ganon in the Illusory Realm (time 12:59). Link has his Champion powers and Sheikah Slate runes at his disposal. The game gives him a two-star Zora set, a Silver Bow, a few Arrows, two Ceremonial Tridents, and the Lightscale Trident.

This battle is not terribly difficult if you know how to approach it. The Lightscale Trident has excellent reach, but so does Waterblight Ganon's spear. Urbosa's Fury is pretty effective against the boss. Daruk's Protection is also helpful, seeing as how Link is not given a proper shield. In the second phase of the battle, Link can freeze Waterblight Ganon's Cryonic block as it closes in and bat it back to him to stun him. When Waterblight Ganon prepares its Guardian laser, Link can shoot it in the eye.

Link soon defeats Waterblight Ganon in the Illusory Realm (time 14:52).

A scene takes place afterwards on Vah Ruta's plateau (time 15:33). Link has another conversation with Kass. Kass has prepared a song about Mipha.

The scene triggers a memory (time 16:41). This is EX Recovered Memory #3: "Champion Mipha's Song". It involves Zelda, Mipha, and Sidon. Sweet.

We return to Link and Kass (time 19:23). Mipha also speaks to Link. Mipha's Grace is upgraded to Mipha's Grace +, which takes less time to recharge. "EX Champion Mipha's Song" complete!

We regain control of Link after the scene (time 20:28). He has now finished the Lanayru region's trials for "EX The Champions' Ballad". Now, he will get started on the trials in the Tabantha region.

Link teleports to the Divine Beast Vah Medoh on its roost above Rito Village (time 21:17). Upon arrival, he puts on his Snowquill set for cold resistance.

From Vah Medoh's perch, Link can look south and see the monument on Cuho Mountain (time 22:07). It is between Rito Village and the Tabantha Tower. He pins its location with the Scope. Then, he paraglides south to it.

A scene takes place when Link approaches the monument and Kass near Strock Lake on Cuho Mountain (time 23:06). As in the Lanayru region, each of the three pillars displays a map location. Kass sings an informative song about Champion Revali's trials.

We regain control of Link after the scene (time 25:48). The main quest "EX Champion Revali's Song" begins. Link checks the map locations on the monument's pillars.

Link teleports to the Akh Va'quot Shrine in Rito Village (time 27:10).

He finds Kass with the five singing Rito girls on the platform near the shrine (time 27:44). Kass will be here after Link has carried out all his quests. It turns out there's a good reason the girls are so musical. Kass invites Link to speak with him here after sundown.
