The controversial Zelda sequel that people are mixed on. While a game rife with fresh ideas, the absurd difficulty and cryptic progression hints lead many to feel this is the black sheep of the Zelda series.

Still, this game receives my personal respect. It laid the groundwork for similar games to follow in its wake such as Shantae, Elliot Quest and Shovel Knight, all of which wouldn't exist had Zelda II been so inspirational.
