That's enough thrust for a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds, which is remarkably quick for such a large sedan.\nMore impressively, the A8 can travel up to an estimated 33 miles on electric power alone. The hybrid system prioritizes electric driving at lower speeds for maximum efficiency in city environments. But when you need to get up and go, the gasoline engine provides smooth and strong acceleration.\nWhile not quite as supple as the range-topping S8's adaptive air suspension, the A8 L's standard air suspension still delivers an exceptionally plush and serene ride quality.
