Soulslinger Envoy of Death is an Indie Action Roguelite FPS RPG, a Western themed shooter where you blast apart enemies with your revolver in a random series of rooms, becoming stronger the longer you last.
Combat is fast, and movement focused, so use your jump and dash to get around, as well as your powerful active and passive abilities to handle the waves of foes coming your way.

An FPS RPG With Fun Abilities:
Soulslinger gives you a pick of 1 of 3 upgrades at the start of a run; enabling you to immediately begin to customize your build and play your way; good.
Of these upgrades, some are active, others are passive, but you keep them for the current run; or you can select a random stat boost instead; a nice option.
The passive upgrades are handy things like frying / shocking enemies on a dash, maybe lighting foes on fire as you shoot them, or bullets having a chance to explode and hit in an aoe; handy things like that.
While the active abilities you get for clearing each room are truly powerful, like exploding bullets, or a giant wall of fire, but these active abilities do not recharge off a cooldown timer, but off how many enemies you have killed, adding a real cost to their great power, and encouraging the player to use them tactically.

Meta Progression:
Meta Progression is very present in Soulslinger Envoy of Death.
You pickup gold, crystal shards, and other resources as you blast down monsters, which are used in the nice looking hub area in between runs to upgrade your equipment and abilities.
You can also find tears, used in the Well of Tears, to unlock additional resources and upgrades for your future runs.

Controller support is present, but I found Keyboard and Mouse the best way to go here, as it is for most FPS games.

Note: This is an early look at the demo for Soulslinger Envoy of Death, so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Soulslinger Envoy of Death is a fast and fun Western themed Action Roguelite with powerful abilities to find that feel tactical and meaningful to use, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
