Randomness™ doesn't care about you (Mosa Lina Review)
Mosa Lina is the definition of an indie puzzle gem. This game is a self described "hostile interpretation of the immersive sim" and it lives up to that moniker. This is a randomized puzzle game, which in and of itself is a wild undertaking for a developer, but they nailed it.
Every tool and puzzle and level is hand crafted, but because of the randomization it is entirely possible that there are some levels your tool combination just cannot beat whatsoever. Short gameplay sessions, an amazing art design reminiscient of Baba is You and crazy good sound design, little is left to be desired with Mosa Lina.
It also gets thrown on the stack of evidence for my theory that adding physics to any game makes it better.
Huge shoutout to Stuffed Wombat (the developer) for sending me some of the SFX files to use in this video when I reached out, that made it a LOT easier and they are a very cool person.
Speaking of, go support them, this game only costs 5 bucks so you have no excuses: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2477090/Mosa_Lina/
($4.50 on sale at the time of posting ^)
Also, Stephen's Sausage Roll. I have nothing to say about that game but its a good game and by typing the words out maybe the algo will know who to send this video to :) Thanks for watching.
