Time-lapse level creation in Super Mario Maker
I thought it would be fun to show off a time-lapse version of a level I made on stream in Super Mario Maker for the Wii U. It took me about 90 minutes to make this one, and the time-lapse portion of the video clocks in at around 12 minutes. I show off all parts of the level in a normal gameplay session after the time-lapse is complete, so you can see how the level was built from scratch, and what it's like playing it when finished.
I'm getting better at tossing stages together (this is my ninth or tenth one), but there's still a lot of trial and error involved. You need to sort of place things down, see if it works or feels right, and if it doesn't then change things around. I actually got distracted partway through and started adding the variety of warp pipes, and so a simplistic level I thought was "finished" became a lot more complex, haha. It's actually more complex than other levels I have been making (all of which are attempting to mimic that classic NES Super Mario Bros feel), so that was fun to implement.
For those that would like to play this level, the Mario Maker code for it is: 6484-0000-0075-26B3
