44Vandal Hearts is a Sony PlayStation Tactical Roleplaying Game (TRPG), or SRPG, that was developed by Konami and released in 1996 in Japan, and 1997 in the west.
Vandal Hearts contains a political driven narrative where you are placed into the realm of Sostegaria, a nation that is no stranger to internal warfare within the governing body. We play as Ash Lambert, the son of a war traitor, who happened to rise through the military ranks to become the leader of a platoon of a police force, of sorts, of the city of Shumeria. One day, he and his companions stumble upon something that they weren't meant to see, and are sent away from the city in an attempt to keep them away from the truth, but also to dispatch them.
As a kid, Vandal Hearts was the first strategy based game I played on the Sony PlayStation. Does it still hold up today? Watch my video to find out.
