Ys: The Vanished Omens PSP Review
18Ys: The Vanished Omens, also known as Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished is a JRPG developed by Nihon Falcom originally for the PC-8800 back in 1987. Over the years it has received a number of ports and re-releases with this iteration being for the Ys I & II Chronicles collection on the Sony PlayStation Portable, released between 2009 and 2011 across all territories.
Considered to be one of the founders and influencers of the action JRPG genre, Ys I is often overlooked in favor of later Ys games, or completely forgotten amidst Nihon Falcom's library, or even other contemporaries that do the genre better. Despite this, Ys I is a game with a unique flavour that should be experienced for yourself.
