The intro sequence and various first-level clips from the CD-i version of Flashback: The Quest for Identity. Flashback was and still is an excellent game, however, the CD-i is probably the last place you would think to play the game. And it's probably best kept that way. Don't get me wrong, this is certainly a competent version of Flashback, no doubt, and easily one of the better CD-i titles available. However, it's lacking compared to other versions that are more easily accessible. For instance, the screen size is cropped, there is no in-game music that you find in the Sega CD game, many sound effects are missing (for example, the little robots on this first level), the FMV is very choppy, and the general in-game animation is choppy compared to other versions (although that's tougher to see here due to the frames lost in the video conversion process). A neat piece of CD-i game history, I suppose, but not one really worth tracking down if you have any other mainstream game platform from the same time period.
