In this Let's Play, I take you through the first episode of Quake for the Sega Saturn, on the Nightmare skill setting. This conversion was created by Lobotomy (who unfortunately is now defunct). They also created some other excellent first person shooters for the Saturn and pushed the hardware in a way most developers couldn't, with Power Slave (Exhumed in other regions) and Duke Nukem 3D. Saturn Quake has a few neat extra features over the PC original, like a voice-over version of the old Quake "Dank & Skuzz" web comic strip, extra lighting effects, as well as new hidden levels.

Note: I have since done an updated full playthrough via a live stream on the Nightmare difficulty. See here: https://youtu.be/4GondupDc-U
