Ani plays Quake: Scourge of Armagon (Part 3)
0The first level in this chapter can fuck right off. Explosive floating mines on top of two Vore encounters, a lake full of burning liquid containing some rocket ammo I cannot reach because of the mine and the time limit on my biosuit. Lasts a lot shorter than the one in Doom.
And the castle is just too small and tight to maneuver the knights on top to use Mojinir.
One good thing I do like is the friendly Shambler I get after fighting a nasty one. I decided to name this one Pyriah. In honor of a friend ^^
Rest of the level is an adrenaline rush and there is no way I'd make it without quicksaves. Fights are interesting though. After some more castles, I finally encounter Armagon who does not pull any punches. Kinda reminds me of the Mother Demon battle from Doom 64, minus the monster closets.
Armagon kinda resembles a lot like the Makron. Definitely a connection of Quake 1 and 2 Especially with the strogg logo on some of the crates.
It's a decent expansion and not as fucked as Plutonia and not a harsh slog as TNT.
I'll touch upon the others a other time. I gotta give this grind a rest for a tad bit.
