I continue my new journey by picking up a mon before exploring Route 104 and Petalburg Woods. I battle a few rich kids and some bug catchers, and catch myself a few new mons, and while traveling through the woods, I encounter some brief plot with the evil team.

Eventually I find myself in Rustboro City, ready to continue on and challenge my first Hoenn gym!

[Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is a lot less familiar to me than RBY or GSC are, so it feels really good to be playing and rediscovering things I haven't remembered for years!]
