YouTube Channel Information
At the core of Let's Play Index are the automated requests. We allow users to add their YouTube channels to the site for aggregation, and we may actively seek out and add other channels for aggregation. This site does not collect anything private about YouTube accounts, such as private videos. We collect only public information; that is, channels and video metadata (title, description, tags, etc.) from channels and videos that are set to "public". Videos set to "unlisted" or "private" are not collected. If a video is set from "public to "unlisted" or "private", any public data we have on that video will also be treated as private data once updated, removing it from public view and aggregation. The reverse is also true; if a private video is set to "public", any data on the video that was made private will be retrieved once again and be made public, making the original pages visible again and re-adding it to the aggregate functions of the site.
How To Remove Your YouTube Channel From Aggregation While Remaining Public On YouTube
You may remove your channel from the aggregate functions of this site by adding the tag "#NoIndex" to your channel tags (or video tags to remove individual videos). The information on your channel and videos will be updated the next time data is pulled from YouTube. Please note that your information in this case is not actually removed from the database, but is invisible to the public to ensure that the automated functions of the site know that you have chosen not to have your data viewed or aggregated. Removing the data completely will simply make it open to being added again.
