FAMOUS ENTOURAGES OF HISTORY: The Algonquin Round Table

So apparently, there was a group of writers who got together to roast people at this Algonquin hotel for lunches. It included a bunch of people from various different magazines/newspapers from back in the 1920's. They were really good at roasting people. I think we low-key found the source of why roasts are popular. I like it. You can't be a writer without being able to roast off the cuff.

I'm not gonna go deep into details on the article, but this is like the cool kids table that knew how to slice people up and down with their words. It isn't like a modern day movie where they are just roided-up people who are dumb. They'll beat you with their words, which hurts the soul, not the body.

They basically invented roast humor. Now we don't have to blame Jeff Ross for roasting everyone. Blame the Algonquin Round Table, the original roasters.
