In 1958 The Blob attacked the small town of Phoenixville Pennsylvania on the big screen for millions of moviegoers to watch in terror. Today many filming locations for the Steve McQueen Sci-Fi masterpiece still exist, however one sadly no longer does. In 2020 the mechanics garage used in the film was torn down to make way for a new credit union. The bank has yet to be built, but the rubble of the old garage still sits quietly awaiting development as a painful constant reminder of what was taken from us movie freaks.
