32 Bit Library Volume 1 Capcom's PlayStation - Remix
This Kickstarter video shows off the upcoming re-edited and redesigned version of 32 Bit Library Vol 1. My last Kickstarter created a giant A4-sized coffee table book with a slipcase and fancy spot UV printing. It was a premium price point, plus heavy shipping costs, making it difficult for some backers to get a copy. This version has been rebuilt into the standard 6" inch x 9" inch trade size you find common for books in stores.
32 Bit Library Volume 1 focuses on Capcom, a premier publisher of the original PlayStation. Looking through 46 different games over the course of hundreds of pages, you can chronologically see the evolution of Capcom’s extraordinary output on that famous gray box. Bonus essays are provided by Jason Dvorak from Game-Rave.com and John Linneman from Digital Foundry and DF Retro.
The new page count comes in at 286 pages after all edits and revisions have been completed. Revisiting and resizing the book has allowed me to make a number of changes:
-All the retrospective entries have been re-edited and rewritten where needed. Grammar and typos were corrected, and sentences were rewritten for a better flow.
-A new page layout was created to maximize the page space and have less "wasted" space.
-Many of the screenshots were changed, and new moments were selected inside the book. If you have the previous version, you'll find new visuals to have a remix companion on your shelf or to share as a "reader copy"
