3D Animation - Konya Metropolitan Municipality Waste Collection and Separation Center
Increasing environmental sensitivity with each passing day has become an area where more rigorous policies are developed by both national and international parties. Changing climatic conditions, decrease in energy and raw material resources, costs and many factors have made it necessary for the products used in an environmentally friendly and sustainable system. For these purposes, the Konya Packaging Waste Collection and Separation Facility Project, which will become one of the most appropriate solutions for the recovery of waste, the processing of correct data regarding the collected waste, and where and how the official or non-governmental organizations/organizations collecting the waste will evaluate this waste, has been initiated. The project includes the correct inclusion of the wastes collected in the central districts and then in all 31 districts into the system. In this way, both the self-sacrificing collection and processing of waste and the correct tracking of data within the scope of zero waste activities will be ensured.
Recycling and waste management are issues of great importance in terms of environmental sustainability today. Some key points about recycling and waste management:
1. Recycling refers to the reprocessing of used materials into new products. This helps conserve natural resources and contributes to reducing waste. Recycling provides many environmental benefits such as saving energy and reducing air and water pollution.
2. Waste management: Waste management includes the process of correct collection, transportation, processing and disposal of waste. Correct waste management minimizes the negative effects on the environment and protects human health. The waste management process may include recycling, composting, energy recovery and appropriate waste storage methods.
3. Recyclable materials: Recyclable materials are materials that are designed to be reused in the recycling process. For example, materials such as paper, cardboard, glass, metal and plastic are recyclable materials. It is important that these materials are collected separately and directed to the correct recycling facilities.
4. Electronic waste: Electronic waste is a rapidly growing type of waste and is gaining importance with the increasing use of electronic devices. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, computers, televisions need to be recycled correctly. Electronic wastes can cause serious harm to the environment and human health due to the toxic substances they contain.
5. Awareness and education: It is important to raise awareness and education of the society on recycling and waste management. Awareness campaigns, trainings and awareness-raising activities should be organized in schools in order to disseminate correct waste separation, recycling and waste management practices.
Recycling and waste management is an important issue for a clean environment and sustainable life for future generations.
