While it looks overly obstructive in 2D view, with the proper stereoscopic 3D perspective the Formula 1 Halo is almost invisible.

Because this video is in 2D it makes the halo look bad, but I didn't notice the halo or even think about it while driving. I can only imagine that this would be the same for IRL F1.
