7 Days to Die Ravenhearst Noob Attempts Ironman Challenge! Ep 1
Ravenhearst is a mod for 7 days to die that makes the game much more difficult. So naturally since I never played Ravenhearst or normal 7 Days to Die I decided to attempt an Ironman challenge right out the gate!
Thanks to my stellar editor TwoJ for making this episode possible! https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBazable
Thank you to Bek the artist responsible for most if not all art associated with the channel! See more of his splendid artwork here: https://www.instagram.com/sketchy_premise/
Ravenhearst features:
The Night Sings
Along with Night Walkers, the return of a few Night Terrors will haunt 5.3. Not ALL of them are back.... yet. We needed to look at performance so we kept it toned down. Night Walkers will despawn in the morning but the Terrors will remain. Do not worry though because there is a HUGE new feature that will make sure you do not see a Terror until you are ready...
All the Worlds a Stage
The ENTIRE game is now gamestaged. The incredibly talented @wOOkie nOOkie has enabled me the chance to gamestage every aspect of the game. Wilderness Spawns, Wandering Hordes, Biome Spawns, Night Time Spawns ALL of it is now set according to your gamestage so you wont see ferals or cops on Day 2. Not until you reach over a certain gamestage. Night Terrors do not spawn pre Gamestage 25. Gamestage tiers are as follows:
GS1 - Normal Zeds
GS25 - Tier 2
GS100 - Tier 3 and Night Terrors
GS300 - Bosses and Tier 4
GS500 - Tier 5 and Radiateds and more Bosses
This ensures you do not get overwhelmed and also that the challenge increases as your level increases
Backpack Expansion
The backpack perk is now gone. In its place are backpacks that you can find in the world that unlocks three slots at a time to your inventory. These can be found in dressers, semis and other clothing related loot spots.
Dont Drink That
All water is now infected in lakes and rivers and pools. You will need a water filtration unit which you can easily make to cleanse the water of the deadly virus. From there you can boil as usual. There is a quest associated with this to teach you. This also applies to buckets of water, But there are also quests from traders and if you are lucky you can earn a water cooler!
Traders Giveth and Taketh
Economy has had a major major overhaul. Its gone. Traders no longer buy ANYTHING but you can still buy from them. How do you earn? You earn Tellers by completing quests and searching. Teller amounts have been increased everywhere so you can find more. There are also new pois with slot machines in the world where you can gamble found Tellers for even more Tellers.
The Quest Ahead
Along with several new journal questlines, the traders have received a handful of new quests. The rewards system has been tripled, with furniture, storage, new weapons and tools, schematics and resources like twine, bits, tarps and more as rewards now so you will receive different types of rewards everytime you complete a quest. New trader quests will unravel a bit more lore as well as offer you some nice rewards like a police car schematic or a water cooler that can be used to fill bottles.
POI Wonderland
Over a dozen new pois from talents like Genosis including his Library and Izea, more than 100 reworked POIs thanks to @sinder with all new sleepers and loot spots as well as new paint and decos, new farms and crop patches as well as several new pois based on famous locations such as Taco Bell, Subway and Walmart. The world is fuller than ever!
RWG Wonderland
17.4 brought us a much better mixer and with it comes some new tweaks. Much more wilderness pois have been added, towns spaced out a bit and now a mix or rural/town/city/farmland will bring a variety of pois to the map. Wasteland and Burnt have been reduced a bit but are much more deadly now. Plains has been readded and new biome decorations and flavor have been tweaked and added giving the world a slightly more lived in look.
A Classy Idea
Classes have been extended. Some have been lengthened to include all their weapons while Guns Classes are now split into Pistols/Rifles/Shotguns/Automatics. Completing all gun classes will unlock the elusive Weapons Bench which will allow you to craft your own gun parts from pieces you receive when scrapping parts you find in the world.
Anti Nerd Poling: No longer can you jump and place frames. You have to plan out your builds with ladders and other blocks now. More realistic and challenges people to come up with new ways of overcoming challenges
Blood Moon Vehicle Disabled: Our mod introduces challenges we expect players to face. Vehicles will become disabled on Horde Night. Bicycles will still work. Think of red moon and horde night like an EMF bomb, electricity is whacked during it.
