A Completely Average Signalis Playthrough - Finale - "Memory"
0A completely average playthrough of 2022's Signalis! Recorded using the Xbox Series X - it's nice to play something (comparatively) easy to record.
I got the "Memory" ending on my blind playthrough. I enjoyed the experience overall, but not enough to go through it to get again the other endings.
Overall I think this is a well crafted survival horror game. I enjoyed the beginning the most, and the enjoyment leveled off the further along I got. I was disappointed with how the story played out - I think the exemplary world-building warranted something grander in scale than it ended up being. The lore built up around the edges of the story are phenomenal, and I'd have loved to see it more involved in the events as opposed to what it ended up being - a story about love, promises made, and loss.
There's probably some symbolism there that I'm under-appreciating, but I am getting tired of games that are heavily symbolic about another subject. Sometimes your survival horror can just be horror - it doesn't need to be symbolic of something else. Anyways, rant over. If you got this far, thanks for reading.
