A Eulogy for "Kojima's Deception" (2023 Channel Update)
23Here lies Kojima's Deception... it was an alright series with some cool ideas, but it was very misguided.

The title is no lie, this is indeed a eulogy for Kojima's Deception. Even if "the ruse" turned out to be real, I wouldn't go back to the series. It was fundamentally flawed both in the process of investigation and in the perspective choice. It wasn't a waste of time though. It was an imperative stepping stone to learn and grow who I am and how I make my work.
The process of how I worked, rushing out videos, receiving both positive and negative feedback varying wildly on intensity on both ends, working myself to complete exhaustion, inevitably delaying the next release through overworking... I tripped a lot, but every time I tripped I learned a new obstacle to avoid (burnout, fatigue, depression, anxiety). And every new way I tripped, I learned a new technique (affirmations, grounding, meditation, stopping to take a breath and think.)
This hiatus off of YouTube over the last 2 years has made all the difference in the world. I knew something had to give if I didn't take a break. I messed up a lot, but I know the struggle was a necessary part of who I am today. I had a lot of growing up to do, and I still have a lot of work to do ahead of me with self-growth. I hope you watching this video and hopefully reading this description join me on that journey of self-growth, determination, and artistic interpretation. 😁👌
