A Little Bit Of: FTL
2This is a wonderful spaceship management sim with lovely brutal perma death. A full run of the game doesn't take that long so it's not quite as horrible as in some rogue-likes but it's still cruel to watch your last crewman suffocate as they desperately try to fix the O2 system. These separate subsystems also come into play in battle, target their weapons and they'll be unable to fire back, or perhaps their shields are too strong meaning you need to use missiles to take it out their shield systems before unleashing. It's just wonderful how it just nails the notes that you would want to hit in this kind of game. You start to learn what you need to do throughout the game after a couple tries, and you start to get there's not a huge amount of content but there's still a good deal of replay value to be had with what's there.
