Happy Friday, Tigers! As Oklahoma educators, we are all too familiar with the negative narrative that has surrounded public education in our state. And we know too just how false it is! There are great things happening in Oklahoma schools, and I’m convinced the best things are happening right here in Broken Arrow. 
 
Last week we took advantage of a sunny day to visit Leisure Park Elementary to both celebrate a national award earned by the staff at that site, and also to highlight a special project led by students from our Vanguard Academy. Take a minute to watch this video of the ribbon cutting ceremony, and then you won’t have to wonder why there’s a lighthouse at Leisure Park.
