3Plot Summary:
Throughout the campaign, Ada observes and interacts with the main game's protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy, from a distance. She often finds herself in situations parallel to those encountered by Leon, providing insight into the events from her perspective.
As Ada navigates through the rural European village and the castle inhabited by the sinister Los Illuminados cult, she faces her own set of challenges and adversaries. She must deal with the relentless advances of the cult's leader, Lord Saddler, and his loyal followers, as well as the monstrous creatures created by the Las Plagas parasite.
Ada's story reveals more about her motivations, her past connections to the mysterious organization she works for, and her complicated relationship with Albert Wesker, a recurring antagonist in the Resident Evil series. Players will also uncover additional secrets about the Las Plagas and the broader conspiracy at play in the game's world.
The Separate Ways campaign offers a fresh perspective on the events of "Resident Evil 4," providing players with a deeper understanding of Ada Wong's character and her role in the overarching Resident Evil storyline. It also includes unique gameplay segments and challenges that differentiate it from Leon's main campaign, making it a compelling addition for fans of the game.
Gameplay:
Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. It features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to the original while drawing from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020). Resident Evil 4 features redesigned visuals compared to the original, designed to create a tenser atmosphere and new character designs and backgrounds. It offers six control schemes, including one styled after the original game.
As in the original game, the player organizes their inventory with an "attached case." New to the remake, a crafting system enables players to create items and ammunition using resources collected throughout the game. The Merchant returns, allowing the player to buy, upgrade, and trade items. He will provide new side quests that may be completed during the main story.
