A rare orchid species has been discovered in Tibet.

Speaking for the discovery published in the journal Phytotaxa, Jin Xiaohua, a researcher at the Botanical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that such an orchid was first discovered in Bhutan, and that only Metok county in China is known to host this species
