Color Crave Cave was super easy in comparison to the two levels before it, thus proving my point of this lopsided difficulty curve. The level after was just hard because of all the projectiles (something I'm used to doing myself), and then we had some special bullets with crazy, crazy attack patterns. I'm still not sure whether you should kill them off one by one or outrun them.
