Sciropescire

Sciropescire is one of the mid-game regions you can continue Eivor's main story quests in England, and is where you continue the story arc of Ceolbert and Ivar Ragnarsson to further cement new alliances in the realm.

Below you will find a list of activities, points of interest, and a breakdown with links to the different collectibles that can be found in this region.


You'll eventually reach Rhodri's castle. It's time to plan an attack. Go and talk to Ivarr when back in control of Eivor. If you're ready, tell him you're ready to assault the castle. Here, you should defeat the enemies in this area and then interact with the oil cart. Walk it forward toward the teal objective marker.


When a red circle appears, press L1/LB to brace so that the arrows don't damage you as much. Bring the oil cart to the castle door and ignite it by pressing Triangle/Y at the back of it.


With that down, head inside. You can fight the enemies here, but you don't necessarily need to — head to the teal objective marker and then look left for some red explosive pots. Carry one to the castle gate and throw it at the gate to destroy it.


Ivarr Boss Fight


Ivarr is a companion you've known for all of the game at this point. It's time to take him out for what he's done to Ceolbert.


His weak points are his right leg and his left arm. Hit these with an arrow to take out his stun bar.
He uses two axes to attack: he as a very large red rune attack — be sure to dodge this attack as you cannot block it.
The rest of his moves are moves you've seen other enemies do: he'll dash left and right and then swipe at you; he'll kick up from the ground at you; he'll do some spinning swipes.
He's really good at dodging so don't spam the attack button — try to parry his attacks and then attack in those openings.
If you find yourself on the ground, he'll jump up and slam his back down on you — try to get up quickly to avoid these attacks.
Two-thirds of the way through the fight, he'll ask to talk — stay on guard because you'll soon see an option to dodge that you need to hit. Don't sweat it if you miss though, as it doesn't cause too much damage.

Take out the final third of his health just as you took out the first two thirds. A cutscene will begin when you defeat him. Here, you can choose to send him to Valhalla or deny him Valhalla. We chose the latter because he killed our friend, Ceolbert, and that's not cool. So long, Ivarr.
After this, go back to Quatford and speak to Deorlaf.

What to Tell Ubba About His Brother Ivarr

When Ubba asks about the death of Ivarr, you can either tell him that Ivarr died well (which is a lie), that Ivarr died badly (which is the truth), or that he wanted death (which is a half-truth). If you lie to Ubba, you will be seeing him again in a not-so-great way later in the game. If you choose to tell him the truth, he will be satisfied with your honesty
