Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies (All Missions / F-22A)
3A full SP New Game from opening splash screens to the end of credits, using Mobius 1's "canon" aircraft.
This video is intended to showcase the current state of emulating AC04 more than it is to showcase any skill on my part, even though I do manage to S-rank every mission (except the first one, obviously). The small spikes of lag that occur at the start of each mission come from pressing F9 twice to fix the garbage sun/moon lighting textures.
Goofs made:
- I'd started an SP New Game prior to recording the video, but hadn't played any missions, so the first Writing Man cutscene is edited in in post.
- I also hadn't bought PGBs for the F-22A before this run, which I chose to edit out of the video itself. If you see a slight jump in a start mission menu, that's why.
- Stonehenge
- A lot of pointless target fixation (which specifically very nearly cost me the S on Whiskey Corridor)
- PGB targeting is awful. You'll see me seemingly doing nothing with PGBs equipped at times, when in reality I'm trying to switch targets to what I actually want to drop it on - the button just doesn't do anything much of the time, so you actually have to switch to missiles to properly switch targets. I start doing that later on.
