In 1996, the Federation of Central Usea made an announcement to the world, an asteroid was heading towards the planet, it was expected to arrive in 1999. The scientific community named the asteroid Ulysses1994XF04. This gave the nations of Strangereal a few years to prepare. On the Usean continent, a massive railgun was built, it was called Stonehenge, and it was designed to shoot down Ulysses fragments. In 1999, Ulysses approached the planet's Roche Limit and fragmented into thousands of pieces. The Ulysses fragments impacted the planet, with the Usean continent suffering the most impacts. Stonehenge shot down a few fragments, but not all of them. Over half a million people were killed from the Ulysses impacts in the five days they rained down on the planet. The impacts even hit urban centers and created a refugee crisis on Usea. The nations of Usea came up with an agreement, they would each take a quota of refugees. Erusea, was beginnig to feel the strain of the refugees on their resources, they announced new restrictions on visas. In response, the nations of Usea boycotted Erusean goods. Erusea responded by invading its neighbor, San Salvacion, and even seized control of Stonehenge. The nations of Usea formed a coalition called the Independent States Allied Forces (ISAF) to stop Erusea. The Usean Continental War began in August 2003. By September 2004, ISAF has been pushed to the brink of defeat, Erusea almost controls the mainland.

ISAF has started to withdraw its forces from the Usean mainland. They have set up a new GHQ on North Point, the last country not occupied by Erusea. The Eruseans send a small bomber force to destroy Allenfort Airbase, and ISAF's GHQ. ISAF scrambles its fighters to stop the bomber attack. Among them is a pilot, callsign: Mobius One.
