I beat the hard and the hardest difficulty computer ratings on AoE3 in a 1v1 skirmish. I tie with the Extreme difficulty: 1-1.

I went with the French as I'm most comfortable with them. Same with great plains though I'm confident I could switch maps and still win.

Extreme: 31:34
Revenge: 1:05:53

Hard was a good warm-up. Although I was a bit lazy and rusty.
Hardest was a good decisive battle that stomped out the momentum of the CPU and then left me a clean-up.

Extreme was excellent. I was too slow in getting a barracks up and sent (I think it was) the four villager card when I should have sent hussars or food/gold. I didn't need to build the outpost either, those resources should have been spent better. Needed to wall off the front and avoid battles while re-grouping units as well.

Revenge was much better. No fluffing around. Just solidly held my ground until I had a decisive advantage in resources and units before going in for the kill.
