My setup is Sony PSJ20 turntable with equaliser switch on to allow connection to my mac
Mid 2010 macbook 8gb 256 Ssd
Air playing to Apple TV 4
HDMI To Samsung 40ku6120 tv
Optically connected to Sony da1200es amp/receiver
The speakers are Alnwick qubic 111
You will need a turntable with built in pre amp or an external pre amp otherwise the line level will be incorrect for the computer

The Apple HomePod appears to have no connections at all. This method could be used for TV, hifi and other devices.
