Alien Rogue Incursion Part One (VR) Episode One (Again? Yes Again!)
This is a redo of the most recent two videos, re-shot and combined into one, reasons below. There's one edit early on where I had to answer the door.
I didn't realise ARIPO only keeps the five most recent saves so I ended up starting the run again. I wasn't going to post the recording but this run explored more of the content.
Mainly because I decided to check the special doors you unlock with the intel disks now that I think I have located them all in these early areas.
I think I was able to access all of them during the video except the fleet management door in the large airlock room.
As long as it doesn't contain another intel disk I hopefully haven't locked myself out of the later rooms.
It's possible I am able to access the area again later in the game via the medical elevator in the next room.
The clue I am coming back there is that there is a circuit panel that the player needs the heavy duty circuit tool to rewire near the elevator.
There is also another control room on the first floor near the panic room that I think required the fixed PDT card so was inaccessible as well as a crate with a low power message on it's door control outside.
I'm trying to only turn naturally rather than use the thumb control to turn as it is a bit jarring. The physical space is a little confined where I'm playing so if you see any oddness it's probably me stepping back or unwrapping a cable.
I also have some fun towards the end working out the circuit in employee services (feel free to skip ahead lol).
It's good to play a little more as intended and find the extra areas but apologies for the multiple restarts as I learn what I'm doing.
Unfortunately I still missed those areas I mentioned so if I don't loop back via the story I will probably have to do a final run on Nightmare and access everything.
There's also that jump onto a ladder from a cargo container next to where the ship is crashed. I haven't tried it yet.
I'm not reading through the text messages in the terminals since it's tricky to know how much of my view is getting recorded and people's reading speed also varies too much for me to page through them.
I know viewers can pause and read them in their own time but it is too much of a slow down in the action for this kind of video imho.
If you are really keen to get all the lore including the messages you should definitely get this game and play through, it is a lot of fun. If this video gets a thousand views I will do a live version where I read every message aloud.
