Although this was patched out of the game after the initial 1.0 Japanese version, it remains an interesting interaction and sees use in both general speedruns and Randomizer races.

Itemdashing is as simple as having the Pegasus Boots and (nearly) any Y item, and pressing A and Y on the same frame. In most cases, you'll combine dashing with using the item, though the specifics vary. Some items have their effect as the dash begins, some when it ends, some all through the dash, and a few behave more strangely.

Again, note that this works only in the original Japanese release and mods built from that, so you can't do any of this in the US, European, or other versions.
