Anteater (Arcade) Gameplay
22Gameplay of Anteater (1982), one of my favourite underrated arcade classics. You play as an anteater (surprise surprise!), who has to eat all the dots in a maze-like anthill. It has surprisingly deep gameplay for such a simple concept and it's a highly addictive game I definitely recommend trying out.
This gameplay was recorded on the MAME emulator using Camtasia Recorder to capture the video. It is all in real-time, no save-states or slowdowns were used. I managed to make it up to level 16 which is the furthest I've ever got, although I think the game starts to get ridiculously hard around 14-15, since nighttime arrives so quickly you basically have to rely on lucky spawns in order to survive beyond that point.
