Apollo the Heracross - All Pokémon Generation 3 Ribbons (RSE/FRLG/COLO/XD)
1It all began in a distant land known as Orre. A young rogue named XANDER encountered several Shadow Pokémon that he liberated by snagging them away from their trainers and the criminal organization known as Cipher. One Shadow Pokémon in particular was a Heracross, found in the Realgam Tower in Pokémon Colosseum. XANDER snagged Heracross away from Cipher Peon Dioge and gave it the honorable nickname "Apollo." Ever since XANDER took down Cipher, he purified Heracross and he obtained his first ever ribbon: the National Ribbon.
XANDER believed that Heracross deserved a better life than the former one it lived in Orre. XANDER transferred Apollo the Heracross to a distant trainer off in the Hoenn region. During his time in Hoenn, Apollo competed in every contest category. (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart and Tough) Apollo succeeded in Cool, Beauty and Tough especially, but his smartness stats weren't very high. Despite the odds, he still managed to obtain every ribbon in every category within every rank up to Master Rank. An artist was so impressed, he even drew a painting of Apollo and earned a Artist Ribbon.
Apollo wanted to prove his strength though, not just his performance. He joined a few team members at the Battle Tower to earn the ribbons they offered. But before that, he needed to get well trained. He took some vitamins and was looking incredibly strong. A nice lady at Slateport City even awarded Heracross an Effort Ribbon. Finally, he earned (well, participated most of the time) the two ribbons (Winning and Victory) from the Battle Tower. Truth be told, he helped come in clutch for a few matches!
The Battle Tower wasn't enough though. He wanted to take on the Champion of the Hoenn region, and so he did. He faced off against Steven and earned the Champion ribbon.
Before traveling to a new region, Apollo made a quick visit back to Orre, but 5 years later into the future. He returns to Orre through Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Oddly enough, the world he used to reside in wasn't as "dark" as it used to be. By now, Cipher had returned but was already defeated once again. He joined his new friends with his trainer Seth to climb up Mt. Battle and win the Earth Ribbon. This marks Apollo's final ribbon in Generation 3. Thus, his time in Orre and Hoenn have come to an end. He didn't had time to visit Kanto, but he expects to visit it one day in Generation 4.
