Are Collectors editions worth it? (reupload)

When I was starting out buying games, one of the first ones I remember was Lunar the Silver Star story complete. That was a fantastic collectors edition at the time. But over the years, it seems weโve been flooded with hollow collectors editions, limited editions,day one editions, signature editions, and deluxe editions. They all seem to be getting More and more on the cheap side with download vouchers and other half assed efforts. Do you guys still think some are worth having? Or should we play it safe with just a good ol fashion standard edition for our new games
