1THE BEGINNING – ARMAGEDDON
Early stages of the Unholy dates back to the second half of the 1980s,
when Jarkko Toivonen and Pasi Äijö started to play together.
Before they formed the first official band, however, they practiced with
Jarkko’s cousin, Ismo Toivonen, at his parents’ place. Their first of-
ficial band was Armageddon, which they formed towards the end
of the 80s, varying their musical style from faster to slower material
while imitating and covering their idols of that era.
