Armored Core V Deserved Better...
1,073So ever since my journey with Armored Core started, there’s one thing that has been abundantly clear to me. Everyone either strongly dislikes Armored Core V, or at the very least, believes it to be one of the weakest entries in the franchise. The team at FromSoftware had found a formula that worked really well with the Gen 4 games, but their new director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, had left the Armored Core team to go work on another little title you might have heard of once or twice. But going into Gen 5, the Armored Core team had a new director, Naoyuki Takahashi, and he was looking to take Armored Core into yet another bold new direction. So, how did this new team approach designing Armored Core V, and how did it turn out? Well, let’s talk about it.
