Even with Carla gone, the Xylem isn't stopping its course, and so we need to take it down by destroying its generators.

Thankfully, we're not alone in this one, as Ayre has rallied a lot of people behind us, including Rusty himself in his new AC, Steel Haze Ortus!

You'll have to progress around the Xylem, while exposed to a lot of fire in the outside sequences, to destroy your targets. The big threat is a cannon that'll hound you as long as you're in its sights.

After that cannon, you'll progress to reach an area where you'll see a familiar face, a Smart Cleaner! It fights exactly like the old one, and Rusty is here to keep it distracted while you hammer its chimney.

But that's where your cooperation ends for now, as your buddy needs to go intercept an enemy fleet, which leaves you to take on the two remaining generators alone.

After the final generator is destroyed, you get an opportunity to resupply, which is welcome for what comes next...

Remember Balteus? It got upgraded and is piloted by the one and only pompous V.II Snail! It still has a pulse barrier, but replaced the missiles and fire with energy attacks instead. As he gets below 50% AP, Snail will unleash its strongest attack, spinning around with laser blades. Once you get past that, you're likely close to victory, so finish it and rejoice as Snail finally bites the dust!
